NACOGDOCHES, Tx – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team signed 21 high school standouts to National Letters of Intent two-time Southland Conference Coach of the Year J.C. Harper announced Wednesday afternoon. The 2012 class consists of 10 players on the defensive side of the ball, 10 offensive players and a specialist.

NACOGDOCHES - Richard Olin and Troy Rogers have been hired as assistant coaches announced head coach J.C. Harper just 24 hours prior to National Signing Day. Olin will take over as offensive coordinator, and work with the Lumberjack quarterbacks while, Rogers will coach the outside receivers.

Baylor’s Robert Griffin III graces the fifth-annual edition’s striking cover, as does his familiarly-posed bronze trophy, and with good reason — behind Griffin, Baylor completed one of its finest seasons in school history.

NACOGDOCHES - Offensive lineman George Bias and defensive end Willie Jefferson have been named 2011 College Sports Journal All-Americans announced publication officials late Thursday evening. Bias is a first-team selection, while Jefferson received honorable mention honors.

Senior offensive lineman George Bias, and juniors Gralyn Crawford and Willie Jefferson have been named to the 2011 Phil Steele's Magazine All-America squad announced publication officials. All three athletes garnered third-team honors.

NACOGDOCHES, Tx - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will play five games in Nacogdoches during the 2012 campaign Director of Athletics Robert Hill announced Tuesday afternoon. The schedule will also highlight trips to 2011 Bowl participant SMU and FCS playoff team Montana State.

COLLEGE STATION, Tx - The Lumberjacks got 12 points from Jereal Scott and 10 from Antonio Bostic, but shot just 23 percent in the first half and 28 percent for the game as the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies took a 55-42 win over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night at Reed Arena.

NATCHITOCHES, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack defense held Northwestern State to 100 yards of total offense as SFA posted a 33-0 victory over the Demons Saturday evening at Turpin Stadium. It is the 'Jacks' first shutout over Northwestern State since 1963. SFA finished the game with 16 tackles for losses, including eight sacks for 55 yards in losses.

NACOGDOCHES, Tx – The Stephen F. Austin football team got all it could handle from the Southeastern Louisiana Lions (2-8/0-6 SLC) Saturday evening, but the ’Jacks held on for a 28-20 victory. SFA sent the 2011 class of seniors off in victorious fashion on senior night, and pushed their current win streak to four heading into the season finale at Northwestern State.
