SAN MARCOS - Despite a season-high 30 points from Tammara Marion, a near triple-double from Porsha Roberts and a 46-24 advantage in points in the paint, the SFA Ladyjacks fell 95-87 in a shootout at Texas State Wednesday evening at Strahan Coliseum.

SFA was outscored 51-42 in the second half and the Bobcats had a huge disparity at the free throw line, connecting on an astronomical 45-of-60 attempts compared to just 18 attempts for the Ladyjacks.

NACOGDOCHES, Tx - Jereal Scott pumped in 27 points and pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds and the Lumberjacks never trailed, rolling past Texas State 71-63 on Wednesday at William R. Johnson Coliseum.

NACOGDOCHES, Tx – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team signed 21 high school standouts to National Letters of Intent two-time Southland Conference Coach of the Year J.C. Harper announced Wednesday afternoon. The 2012 class consists of 10 players on the defensive side of the ball, 10 offensive players and a specialist.

NACOGDOCHES - Richard Olin and Troy Rogers have been hired as assistant coaches announced head coach J.C. Harper just 24 hours prior to National Signing Day. Olin will take over as offensive coordinator, and work with the Lumberjack quarterbacks while, Rogers will coach the outside receivers.

NACOGDOCHES – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks received their draw for their 2012 Sears Bracket Busters game on Monday and will host High Point on Feb. 18 at William R. Johnson Coliseum.
 
The game will be part of a doubleheader, with the Ladyjacks taking on Texas State at 4 p.m. in conference action, followed by the men with a tentative start time of 6 p.m. scheduled.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks got 18 points from Antonio Bostic and led by as much as 19 points to stay in the upper tier of the Southland Conference with a 64-49 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at the American Bank Center.

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks erased an early 14-point deficit and put down the clamps defensively to earn their second straight conference victory, defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 69-57 Saturday evening at William R. Johnson Coliseum.

NACOGDOCHES - Offensive lineman George Bias and defensive end Willie Jefferson have been named 2011 College Sports Journal All-Americans announced publication officials late Thursday evening. Bias is a first-team selection, while Jefferson received honorable mention honors.
