ELYSIAN FIELDS, Tx -- The Shelbyville Dragons' 7-on-7 football squad earned a No.3-seed for Thursday's Elysian Fields 7-on-7 Tournament and the position was working out perfectly for the young squad.

But after an opening-round 23-13 victory over No.2-seed Waskom and a second-round bye, threatening weather brought the summer football finale to an early conclusion for the Dragons as the final three rounds were cancelled because of lightning and rain in the immediate vicinity. The games will not be made up.

With a young crew of receivers coming in, a quarterback might be on the timid side when he thinks about the upcoming season, but not Cloudy.
