The road to the Class 2A playoffs in District 20-2A isn't an easy one, but the Joaquin Lady Rams are giving it their best shot. JHS won for the second time in three contests on Monday night, taking down Jefferson, 8-1, to move back to the .500 mark in league play.

Paige Wilburn went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring three runs and driving in two others, and Ashlyn Harvey recorded the victory in the circle Tuesday night as the Joaquin Lady Rams battled back to the .500 mark in District 20-2A play with a 16-7 victory over Waskom at Lady Ram Field.

The victory was a positive note for the up-and-down league schedule for Joaquin. The Lady Rams dropped a 6-1 decision at home to Tatum on Thursday, falling back to 16-6-1 on the year, 3-4 against league competition.

Whitney Vaughn scattered three hits over five innings Friday as she helped the Joaquin Lady Rams bounce back from their initial District 20-2A setback on Tuesday with a convincing 12-2 win over Jefferson at Lady Ram Field Friday night.

The victory, Joaquin's ninth in its last 10 games, improved the Lady Rams to 15-3-1 on the year and got them back on the winning track in league play, improving to 2-1.

TATUM, Tx - Trailing Tatum 4-0 after the first inning on Wednesday, the Joaquin Lady Rams put together a solid second frame, keying on Jordan Welch's grand slam home run to push six runs across the plate on six hits in the inning to take a two-run lead here at Tatum Eagle Park. But seven errors enabled the Lady Eagles to pull away as THS handed Joaquin its first league loss of the season, 16-6, in six innings.
