The state of Texas has its first Heisman Trophy winner since Ricky Williams and Texas Football is making sure he gets his due. Baylor’s Robert Griffin III graces the fifth-annual edition’s striking cover, as does his familiarly-posed bronze trophy, and with good reason — behind Griffin, Baylor completed one of its finest seasons in school history.

The Tenaha Tigers are getting set for the biggest game in the football program's history since the 1998 season when the squad takes its unbeaten 13-0 mark to Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Thursday to face the Munday Moguls (13-2) for the Class 1A D-II State Championship at 4 p.m.

The Garrison Bulldogs will be looking to push its way past the furthest point it reached in 2010 and get back to the state championship football game for the first time since the 'Dogs won the state title in 2003 when GHS takes on unbeaten Mason Friday night in Waco.

The Class 1A D-I semifinal contest will be played at Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium and will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the game will be available only at the gate for $8. Garrison will be the home team.
