Center High School has designated Friday's football game against Chapel Hill as Senior Night when the Roughriders battle the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. at Roughrider Stadium. Senior football players, band members, cheerleaders and Chaparrals will be recognized a pregame ceremony beginning at 7 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 8, Center will be hosting its 2nd Annual Pack the Place Pink game. The school will be selling t-shirts, pink ribbon pins, pink ribbon tattoos, etc. If anyone would like to purchase any of these items, they can get them at the pep rally on the square on Friday at 3 p.m. or at the gate before the game.
Any donations can be made at the high school to Jenny Cassell, Kelly Lucas, or Nicolle Davis. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Last year the school district raised over $4,000, with the hope of increasing that number even higher in 2010.
Homecoming is the week of Oct. 25-30. The theme is “Go Wild for the Riders”. On Monday, Oct. 25, at 8:30 p.m., a bonfire has been scheduled, weather permitting.
There will be dress up days throughout the week: Tuesday — Wild and Tacky; Wednesday - We’re Wild Animals; Thursday — Wild Wild West; and Friday — Rider Wild (school colors and spirit gear).
