PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - In what turned out to be a wild first week of college football, the Lumberjacks fell two spots to 10th in the Sports Network Top 25 poll announced TSN Executive Director Craig Haley Monday afternoon. The 'Jacks fell four spots to 12th in the FCS Coaches' Top 25 poll, which was also released Monday afternoon.

The Lumberjacks were ranked eighth in both preseason polls but dropped after a season-opening setback at Texas A&M. SFA received 1,729 points in the TSN poll and still remains the highest ranked Southland Conference team in the poll. The 'Jacks earned 353 points in the FCS Coaches' poll falling just outside the top 10.

Another Southland Conference team is ranked in the Sports Network FCS Top 25. McNeese State fell from No.12 to No.13 this week after the Cowboys' 30-27 win over Lamar University Saturday. McNeese move dup the Rivals.com Coaches' Top 25 Poll, moving up from 11th to 10th.
