CARTHAGE, Tx -- The Carthage Lady Bulldogs soccer program is in its second year of existence and many of the players are playing the game for the first time. Kilgore High School has had a girls soccer program for many years and is loaded with players with experience on the Longview/ Tyler area club circuit.
CARTHAGE, Tx -- Carthage Lady Bulldog soccer player Ana DeSantiago was named the squad's Most Valuable Player recently as the First-Team All-District 32-4A player was one of several players honored at the 2010-11 Carthage Female Athletic Banquet held in the high school commons.
Coming off a 4-0 blanking of Tatum in the first game of the history of the program, the Carthage Lady Bulldog soccer team posted a strong showing at the Palestine Tournament last week, posting a fifth-place showing.
Carthage opened the tourney on Thursday with a 2-0 blanking of Center as the Lady Dogs improved their season record to 2-0.
