Whether it was because of the last-minute change in venue or the play of a superior opponent, the Beckville Ladycats stumbled in their second league encounter of the season on Tuesday night when they traveled to Price and fell to Carlisle in five games, 3-2.

The match was originally scheduled to be played in Beckville, but school officials found out Tuesday afternoon that a broken water main in town was going to force the team to switch home dates with Carlisle.
