Spring sports are upon us and that means ShelbyCountySports.com is gearing up for a hectic few months as athletes from across Shelby County and beyond will be competing both indoors and outdoors.

We have now posted all the spring sports schedules - including baseball, softball, soccer, track, powerlifting and tennis - that we have received and they are now available, in addition to our basketball schedules, on our respective school schedules sites. We have even posted the 2010 schedule for the East Texas Wildcats' football team, which will be opening its season on Feb. 27.

To find your school's schedules, simply look for the blue "Schedules & Results" link over on the right hand side of any page on our website. If you click on that link you will be taken to a composite schedule of all sports from Center, Joaquin, Shelbyville, Tenaha, Timpson, SFA and Panola College.

The games, matches and meets are listed in chronological order and the scores from the past several days' games are also listed. Mark it as one of your 'Favorites' to keep up with the entire county.

If you want to look at a particular school's schedule for an individual sport, simply hover your mouse over the "Schedule & Results" button and you will see a slide-out which will give you additional links for each school in Shelby County, along with SFA, Panola College and Youth Sports. You can then click on the school or organization that you wish to view.

Schedules on the individual team sports will include scores from those games which have already been completed. Also, on games in which stories have been written, you can view the story of a particular game by clicking on the final score.

We will be posting Center Youth Baseball and Center ASA Softball schedules and results as they become available. We hope to include Joaquin and Shelbyville baseball as well if we can get someone to send them to us.

We hope that you enjoy keeping up with your favorite athlete or team by using our website throughout the year.

NOTE: We ask that Shelby County coaches or fans text the final scores of games they attended to (936) 332-9332 so we can post them to the website as quickly as possible. Coaches, we also ask that you send us a brief summary of your games via email to shelbycountysports@yahoo.com. Thanks for all your help this year thus far and we'll see you at the games!
