The Shelbyville powerlifting team performed well at the Overton Powerlifting Meet on Saturday as five of the eight Dragon lifters captured medals when competing against some of the top programs in East Texas.
Bailee Wilburn placed second in her division, squatting 300 pounds, benching 135 pounds and deadlifting 260 pounds, for a total combined lift of 695 pounds.
Kelsi Griffin placed second in her division, squatting 285 pounds, benching 125 pounds and deadlifting 290 pounds, for combined lift of 700 pounds.
Tyler West placed third in his division, squatting 295 pounds, benching 155 pounds and deadlifting 315 pounds, for a combined lift of 765 pounds.
Allen Weeks placed fourth in his division squatting 450 pounds, benching 255 pounds and deadlifting 430 pounds, for a combined lift of 1,135 pounds.
Jestin Brown placed fifth in his division, squatting 415 pounds, benching 245 pounds and deadlifting 415 pounds, for a combined lift of 1,075 pounds.
Logan Furlow finished ninth in his division, squatting 405 pounds, benching 215 pounds and deadlifting 405 pounds, for a combined lift of 1,025 pounds.
Dillon Brown finished ninth in his division, squatting 355 pounds, benching 155 pounds and deadlifting 315 pounds, for a combined lift of 825 pounds.
Robert Bloys finished the day with a combined lift total of 785 pounds, squatting and deadlifting a personal best of 315 pounds on each lift.
The Dragons will be headed to Quitman this Saturday.
