Small, a state competitor a year ago, took the top male individual honors as the Best Lifter (114 to 165-lb. classes), as well as the Best Squat (114 to 165-lb. classes) and Best Deadlift (114 to 165-lb. classes). He also posted first place in the 148-lb. class with a total weight of 1,285 pounds.

In addition to Small's outstanding effort, Roughrider Kevinski Pitts placed third in the Best Lifter (181 to SHW classes) competition and the second in the Best Deadlift (114 to 165-lb. classes) battle. Pitts won the 198-lb. class with a total weight of 1,355 pounds.

According to Center head boys coach Tracy Adair, every one of his athletes set a new personal best at the meet.
