The Center 7th grade 'A' boys rolled to one of three victories for the Center Middle School teams Thursday night as they went on the road and played at Central.
Johnny Shaw led all scorers with 28 points, while Darrel Barnes, Kell Ratcliff and C.J. Garner knocked down nine points apiece to lead the Roughrider 7th 'A' squad to a 63-31 victory over Central.
The 'Riders kept their District 18-3A record perfect, improving to 7-0. Center is 9-1 on the season, with its only loss coming at the hands of Class 5A Lufkin.
In other action on Thursday, the Center 7th 'B' boys got past Central by a 14-10 count. Dalton Horton led the Roughriders with six points. The CMS team is unbeaten at 6-0 on the season.
The Center 8th grade teams split their contests. The Center 8th 'A' squad outlasted Central 45-35 and is now in a tie with Central for first place in District 18-3A.
In the other game played, the Center 8th 'B' team fell 18-17.
All the Center Middle School boys' squads will be at home Monday night to take on Rusk. The seventh grade action will begin at 5 p.m. at the Roughrider Middle School Gymnasium.
