With the recent success of Carthage golf teams, including the CHS Lady Bulldogs participating in the State golf tournament in Austin the past four years, a new kind of clinic is being brought to Carthage.
A Christian Junior Golf Clinic will be held at the Carthage Country Club on June 7-8 for students ages 7-9 and June 21-22 for ages 10 through 12.
The Christian Junior Golf Clinic is designed to create an environment where young golfers will learn about having a relationship with Jesus Christ and also improving their skills in the game of golf. Teaching priorities include golf as a game of fun, lifelong enjoyment and a teacher of life lessons. The camp will provide insights of all skill levels.
The daily clinic schedule includes lunch on Friday, along with swimming.
The curriculum features putting, chipping and pitching, golf swing, the rules of golf, etiquette, skills competition and scripture lessons.
Call (903) 277-2319 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for sign-up information.
Only pre-registration allowed and registrations papers are due by Monday, June 4. Campers should bring sunscreen, water bottle, and golf clubs (if you can). Wear a golf shirt with collar, knee-length shorts, a hat and golf/tennis shoes.
The cost is $60 per golfer. The cost for each additional sibling enrolling in this clinic will be $50 each per family member, a $10 discount.
Mail completed registration and payment to: Jason Harris, 139 Whitetail Ct., Carthage, TX 75633.
