Lady Bears end season with record wins

Timpson completed the 2009 volleyball season Friday night on the road as the Beckville Ladycats took a 3-0 decision from the Lady Bears. BHS won the match by scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.

It was a successful season for Timpson, despite the fact that the Lady Bears won't be going to the playoffs. THS finished the season with a 9-15 season record and a 3-7 District 20-1A record. The number of wins, both the overall and district records, were record-highs for the six-year old program, which is under the direction of Ashley Hartwell.

Shelby Bush led the Lady Bears in kills against Beckville, while Tammi Harris paced the team in blocks, Tan Eaden tallied the most assists and Bush and Tori Mosby posted the most service aces. Bush and Danielle Brown led the team in digs.
