The Shelbyville 8th grade football team has had a rough last couple of weeks, losing by 28-0 scores the past two weeks against both Kirbyville and Woodville.

In the setback to Kirbyville, Sam Choice was credited with some outstanding running, according to the Dragon coach. The coach stated he ran the ball extremely well and followed that up with outstanding defensive play, making numerous tackles.

In the setback to Woodville, the Dragons fell behind 20-0 at the half and couldn't get the ball into the endzone in the second half.

The Shelbyville Junior High teams will travel to San Augustine tonight (Thursday) for a game with the Wolves.

Woodville 14, Shelbyville 7th 8 -- Dee Osby threw a touchdown pass to Marcus Edwards and Travis Henkle added the two-point conversion in the Dragon 7th grade's 14-8 setback at the hands to Woodville.
