The Joaquin Lady Rams dropped their second consecutive District 20-2A contest of the season Friday night, falling to Elysian Fields, 55-38, in Ram Gymnasium.
Still in the postseason chase, Joaquin (13-13) didn't help its positioning with the loss as the Lady Rams dropped back to 2-3 against league competition.
Whitney Vaughn was the only Joaquin player to score in double figures, dropping in 15 points on 5-of-13 (38%) shooting from the field. Ava Stephens scored eight points and Katelyn Cockrell dropped in seven.
Chasity Baker was 2-of-6 from the field, scoring four points, with Jordan Welch being held to two, along with Mallory Martinez.
The Lady Rams finished the game with 25 rebounds, with nine of those coming on the offensive glass. Martinez was the leading player on the board for JHS, tallying six, while Stephens pulled down five and Cockrell and Welch tallied four each. Whitney Vaughn posted three rebounds, Baker added two and Annabeth Vaughn had one.
The Lady Rams turned the ball over 12 times in the game. Welch recorded two steals and Cockrell, Stephens and Baker each contributed one. Stephens, Welch and Martinez each had an assist.
