Carthage High School baseball coach Jim Goldman has announced that the 2012 Bulldogs will be hosting a team of alumni Bulldog baseball players during one of the team's scrimmages this season.
The game, which is set for Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at Reeves Memorial Field, will be an opportunity for any former Bulldog player to play against the 2012 Carthage varsity baseball team. Legendary coach Scott Lee will be the head coach of the alumni squad.
"We thought this would be a great opportunity for former Carthage players to come back and play against current players," Goldman said. "There will be no cost to players, just a good time by everybody and a chance for fans to see former Bulldogs one more time.
"Panola College will also be hosting a game later that day so it'll be a great day of baseball all around."
Any alumnus that is interested in playing needs to call Goldman at (979) 943-1802 or the Carthage High School Athletic Department at (903) 693-2552.
