Leading Harleton 27-20 at the half, the Gary Bobcats held the Wildcats to just two points in the third quarter as the 'Cats pulled away in the final 16 minutes for a 47-36 non district win in Harleton.

The victory snapped a four-game Gary losing skid as Gary jumped back over the .500 mark on the year at 9-8. The Bobcats will host Mount Enterprise Friday before traveling to Douglass on Tuesday (JV,V - 5 p.m.) before opening District 22-1A action next Friday at home against Beckville.

Levi Cohorst led the Gary attack, hitting 7-of-12 field goals and finishing with 16 points. Matt Wood was 4-of-9 from the field, scoring 12 points, while Stephen White threw in eight. Luke Thornton scored five points, Josh Bowen dropped in four and Connor Coligan added two points.

The Bobcats converted 19-of-48 field goals (40%), 3-of-11 from behind the three-point arc and 6-of-12 from the line.

Gary finished the game with 28 rebounds. Bowen led the Bobcats with six boards, with Cohorst hauling in five and Thornton four.

Thornton also blocked a pair of shots, while Wood recorded six steals and five assists.

Gary only committed 13 turnovers in the game.
