Martin, who qualified second with a 11.09, improved his time immensely in the final and pushed Davis to the limit. But the Tenaha speedster held him off at the finish line to claim top honors.

Davis, who also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash, led Tenaha to a 14th-place finish overall, scoring 14 points at Austin in the competition on the campus of the University of Texas. Munday claimed top honors as a team, scoring 60 points, followed by Collinsville with 56, and Yorktown, which scored 30.
