In other games played during the rain at The Pit, the Tiger Junior High 'A' team defeated the Bearcats, 12-6, and the junior high 'B' squad captured a 1-0 scrimmage win.

JUNIOR VARSITY
The Tiger junior varsity cruised to a 36-0 halftime lead and finished with seven touchdowns as Tenaha (1-0) blanked Beckville in its first game of the year.

Campos had a pair of scores, with one of them coming from 70 yards out. Cleaver also scored twice, then added a 2-point conversion. Edgar Flores scored a TD on a returned fumble recovery, as did Cadetric Robertson, while recording a pair of two-point conversions. Corey Thomas also made it into the endzone.

Keontas Davis scored from 3 yards out with 1:46 remaining in the third quarter, and then added a 60-scoring burst with 4:54 remaining. Davis was praised by his coach for his outstanding offensive play out of the backfield.

Desmond Polley, Denzelle Williams led the Tiger defensive charge, stopping Beckville runners in the backfield all night long.

The key play of the ballgame came with 1:50 remaining when Edgar Pineda recovered a fumble, enabling Tenaha to run out the clock and secure the victory.

The Tigers will return to action Thursday when they visit Joaquin at 5 p.m.

JUNIOR HIGH 'B'
Quarterback T.J. Thomas scored a 3-yard touchdown run and that was enough offense as the Tiger junior high 'B' team took a 1-0 scrimmage win.

Outstanding offensive efforts were turned in by Thomas on offense, and Demarcus Perry and Irving Acopa on defense.
