Osby scores lone touchdown for Shelbyville

The Shelbyville junior high scored on a 4th-and-goal situation from the Trinity three-yard line, but the try for the two-point conversion failed, leaving visiting Trinity with a hard-fought 8-6 win over the Dragons Thursday evening at Dragon Stadium.
Dee Osby scored the lone touchdown for Shelbyville on the fourth-down play. But a mishandled snap resulted in the conversion failing and the Dragons coming up just short.
Shelbyville is open next week, along with the junior varsity and varsity teams in the district. The Dragons will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 8, when they travel to Kirbyville. The junior high contest will start at 4:30 p.m., with the junior varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
