CC: Lady Bulldogs headed to Regionals

The Garrison Lady Bulldog cross country team, along with Bulldog runner Cade Kendrick have qualified for the Region III Cross Country Meet after impressive performances last Tuesday at the District 20-1A Meet held at the Norman Industrial Park in Jacksonville.

The Lady Bulldogs, as a team, qualified for the Region III Meet because it placed third overall. The Regional Meet will be held at Atascocita High School in Humble on Saturday.

Individual finishers for the regional-bound Lady Bulldogs included: Megan Davidson, 4th; Laci Stokes, 11th; Shelby Crawford, 15th; Bridget Bass, 19th; Karla Avila, 24th; along with Kyla Hudnall and Kaylee Prince.

Kendrick posted a 10th place finish to also qualify individual basis. Another Bulldog runner, Scott Tremaine, competed and finished 46th.

In the Junior Varsity Division, the following Lady Bulldogs competed: Cindy Garcia, 2nd; Madi Livingston, 3rd; Kim Garcia, 4th; Ashley Gibson, 5th; Rita Ballow, 6th; Madi Disman, 7th; and Amy Garica, 8th.

In the Junior High Girls Division, Garrison's Kelsey Goff placed 12th, Saebreena Lilley came in 20th and Reba Edwards ran 25th.

School participating in the District 20-1A competition included: Alto, Beckville, Cushing, Gary, LaRue LaPoynor, Longview Chadwick, Martins Mill, Mount Enterprise, New Summerfield, Overton, Carlisle, Timpson, along with Garrison.
