The Cloudy's, another Center squad, played the Center High School No.2 squad in a warm-up game and The Cloudy's won, 56-55, but the game didn't count in bracket play.

The Consolation game is slated for tonight (Saturday) at 5 p.m., with the third place game taking place at 6 p.m. and the Summer Classic Championship scheduled for 7 p.m. All games are being played at Roughrider Gymnasium in Center.

Here's a rundown of some of the action on Friday:

San Augustine 60, Center 45 - Preston Malone poured in 10 first-half points to help San Augustine to a slim 24-23 lead and then the visitors pulled away in the second half by outscoring the Center High School All-Stars 37-21 in the final 20 minutes to record the opening-round victory.

Malone led San Augustine with 16 points on the night, while Chris Barnes, Chris Porter and Jay Jimenez added nine each for the Wolves. Merick Weathered added six points to the San Augustine attack, Darrius Porter and Duke Bell each threw in four and David Tydrick added three.

Center was led by Se'Ryan Netherly's 16 points. Quincy Ratcliff scored seven second-half points to finish with 10, Ty Hubbard scored all eight of his points in the first half, Cameron Cloudy finished with three and Michael Harrison, J'Von Jones, Myles Netherly and Johnny Sudds each pitched in two points.

San Augustine pulled out to an early 7-0 lead, but a pair of three-pointers by Center's Hubbard and Netherly helped the host-squad cut the lead to one, 11-10, with just over 11 minutes left in the opening period.

The Roughriders continued to cut into the deficit and Jones' layup finally gave Center its first lead, 23-22, with 43 second left in the first half. But the advantage was short-lived as San Augustine went back on top 24-23 at the break.

Center kept the contest closer in the second half. But with its lead cut the 41-38 with 11:08 remaining, San Augustine outscored the Roughriders 19-7 down the stretch to pull away.

Tenaha 55, Disciples 43 - Jared scored 20 points and Jeremy Moore poured in 16 as the Tenaha All-Stars knocked off the Disciples, 55-43, in the second official game of the night. The Tigers finished the night with seven three-pointers.

Kennis Henderson added eight points for Tenaha, while Jim Evans dropped in four, Jay Moore scored three and Brandon Horton pitched in two points.

The Tenaha All-Stars pulled out to a 28-16 lead at the break, only to see the Disciples started cutting into the lead in the second half. But Tenaha withstood a second-half surge to record the opening-round victory.
