Center honors top athletes at banquet
Center High school recently held it's All-Sports banquet at the CHS Cafetorium. Among those athletes honored were Jeremy Small and O'Mattie Swindle, who received the annual R.E. Malone Awards. The R.E. Malone Award is presented each year to the school's top male and female atheltes.
Swindle was a standout athlete in volleyball, basketball and track. She participated in the Region III Track & Field Meet.
Small excelled in football, powerlifting and track. Small advanced to the UIL State Powerlifting Meet in Corpus Christi for the second straight year. He was a part of the District 18-3A champion track champion, the CHS football team that advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
Center won district titles in boys basketball, boys track and boys & girls tennis during the school year.
