CENTER -- The Joaquin #1 Lady Ram 12-and-Under team knows how to push runs across the plate. They were effective in every phase of the game Thursday night here at the Center Community Park as they rolled past the Starz, 20-1, in three innings.

Catcher Hana Bonner led the high-powered Joaquin offensive assault as she slammed a three-run inside-the-park home run, while adding a pair of triples, drove in five runs and went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in leading her team to victory.

Joaquin finished the game with eight hits, taking advantage of 13 walks as the Lady Rams raced to a 6-0 lead after the first inning, a 12-0 advantage after two and a 20-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third frame.

In addition to Bonner's aggressive play at the plate, shortstop Darby Hughes was also perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2with three runs scored, a walk and a pair of stolen bases. Kaitlyn Scruggs went 2-for-2 with a run scored and Madison Anderson doubled in two at-bats, with a RBI and two runs scored.

Kristen Harvey scored twice and stole three bases for the Lady Rams, drawing three walks. Ragan Long walked all three times she stepped to the plate, stealing a base and plating three times. Sarah Schmutz stole two bases, walked twice and scored a run, Sidney Harville was hit by a pitch, walked, stole two bases and crossed the plate twice.

Julianna Martin also got into the offensive act with a pair of walks and a run scored, while Crystal Cassell scored twice, drew a pair of walks, stole a base and drove in a run. Shelby Diven scored a run, was hit by a pitch, walked and drove in a run as all 11 players on the Joaquin ballclub crossed the plate at least once.

Anderson was the winning pitcher for Joaquin. She started the game and worked two frames in the circle. She struck out four and walked only one as she gave up just one hit and did not allow a run.

Hughes walked into the circle for the third frame, striking out three batters while giving up a run.

Gillian Smith took the setback for the Starz. She started the game and also came back to pitch the final inning. She allowed 14 runs on just five hits, but suffered from 10 walks. Rachel Andrews pitched the second inning, allowing six runs on three hits with five walks.

Starz third baseman Mikaela Hutchison recorded the only hit and run for her squad as she also drew a walk.

Andrews walked and stole a base and Jasa Rodgers also stole a base and walked.

Other players contributing for the Starz included Courtney Meshell, Jessica Locket, Juanita Sanchez, Tori Addison and N'Kenge Ware.

Joaquin took a 6-0 lead in the top of the opening frame when Hughes, Long, Anderson, Schmutz, Scruggs and Harville all crossed the plate.

In the second frame Cassell, Harvey, Hughes, Long, Bonner and Anderson scored to build the lead to 12-0 as Joaquin took advantage of baserunning opportunities.
