The Center ASA Softball League received wonderful weather to start the 2010 season, as a full slate of contests were played Saturday at the Center Softball Park.
Teams from Center in the various age groups were introducted to family and friends as a large group turned out for the league's opening ceremonies, which took place in mid-morning.
Then a full slate of action took place. Two of the games included the No Limit recording a 14-2 win over the Diamond Divas in the 8-and-Under Division. In a 14-and-Under Division game, the Full Throttle defeated the Lightning, 4-3.
Those were the only scores reported at the time of this posting. Coaches/parents are urged to send their game results to ShelbyCountySports.com after each contest throughout the season. Please include the Division, along with the score of each team. The scores can be texted to 936-332-9332 or emailed to ShelbyCountySports@yahoo.com.
