CENTER -- No Limit has bright green shirts for the 2010 season. And the 8-and-Under team's bats were shining just as bright as their jerseys during the opening day as they recorded a 14-1 win victory over the Diamond Divas in a game played here at the Center City Softball Park on Saturday.
No Limit (1-0) cranked out 19 hits during the opening win as six of the players connected with three apiece.
Zoie Eberenz went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and a RBI, while Lacey Felder was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and a run batted in. Katelyn Bolton went 3-for-3 as well, driving in three runs, while scoring another herself, and Shanyah Williams scored three times, hit a double and a pair of singles and drove in a run.
Macy Weeks also had a hot bat, recording a triple, while finishing 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Jayla Moore was also 3-for-3 with two runs and two more driven in.
Another No Limit player recording a hit was MaKayla Ethridge, as she finished 1-for-4 with three runs driven in and another scored herself.
Other players for No Limit who saw action included JaKayla Weatherid, Savannah Copelin and Jacelyn Berry.
The Diamond Divas (0-1) added five hits of their own, but they could only string enough of them together to score one run.
McKenzi Jowers led the attack with a perfect 2-for-2 effort, with a double and the lone run batted in. Jamie Stephens went 1-for-2 with the lone run for the Divas, while Kaleigh Timmons went 1-for-2, as well as Taylor Burch.
Other members of the Diamond Divas that played in the season opener included Harlie Ware, Sadie Ramsey, Bella Clay, Madelynn Ramsey, Jodi Blount and Maylee Parfait.
It was the Diamond Divas that took the early lead in this contest as Stephens singled in the first inning and moved to second on a ground out by Ware. Stephens then crossed the plate on a single by Jowers.
Fielder, Bolton and Copelin each scored for No Limit in the top of the second as the team took a 3-1 advantage.
Moore, Eberenz and Felder found home plate in the third inning for No Limit as the team widened the lead to 6-1.
The team would go on to score six more times in the fourth and two more in the fifth to secure the opening victory.
