It‘s time once again for spring and summer baseball in Timpson and there is a lot of fun in store for the entire family this year. So break out of the gloves and bats and "Let's Play Ball.”
The following sign-up dates have been set:
* Saturday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at B&B
* Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at B&B
* Thursday, Feb. 23, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Timpson Bears Baseball Park.
* Friday, Feb. 24, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Timpson Bears Baseball Park.
On Thursday, March 1, there will be a last chance sign up and meeting for parents, coaches and individuals interested in umpiring. Meeting is at Timpson Middle School cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
Parents are being asked to please bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate to sign up.
The registration fee is $70 per child and $10 discounts per child after two. Children must be siblings and live in the same home to be eligible for discount.
The Timpson Baseball Association is trying something new this year. They are going to have a recycle baseball gear bin. Please pitch in by cleaning out those closets, garages, utility sheds & baseball bags to donate any used or outgrown baseball pants, cleats, gloves, helmets, bats etc. This is a great way to help your fellow Bears.
